Argo Online is a Fantasy Game and MMORPG set in a dystopian steampunk Earth in the distant future, and is best known for its innovative combat mechanics and enormous open-world environments.
Argo Online offers two distinct factions, the Noblians and the Floresslahs. The Noblians are a race of technologically advanced steampunk warriors and crafters that use machinery as weapons and aids, whereas the Floresslahs are a mystical race in tune with the laws of nature, wielding them do achieve their modest goals.
Similar to MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, the 2 factions in Argo Online are opposing and offer the bulk of the Player vs. Player (PvP) experience once you have reached level 10. Battlegrounds and Open-World PvP are both on offer here, allowing for a full and rich MMORPG PvP experience.
Each faction also offers 8 unique class choices specific to their history and lore: choosing to play as a Noblians will give you access to the Warrior, Protector, Scholar, Bomber, Explorer, Chaser, Paladin and Priest classes, whereas choosing to side with the Floresslahs will allow you to play as a Taurus, Defender, Elementarist, Warlock, Sagittarius, Rogue, Shaman and Druid.
Each of these classes is entirely different from the next, each offering their own unique playstyle, skill tree, combo abilities and role within group-based play. Each faction begins in their own unique starting zone, too, which offers a great introduction to the story of Argo Online, one of the most addictive elements of the game. The quest progression helps to drive the story forward, and before long you'll be wrapped up in the war between the rivalling factions and doing your part to
win.
Of course, you've seen all of this before. The steampunk style juxtaposed against the 'tree-huggers' (as they're often called by Noblians players in-game) makes for a nice change, and offering 8 classes for each faction is a nice tell that Argo is of an above-average quality; but really, these features are only the beginning.
Most impressive of all is the tutorial phase of the game that guides you through your first steps in the world of Argo. Not only is this tutorial fully-voiced, it carries the story and flow of the game beautifully, and with the help of the quest tracking and navigation system, you can be 100% sure that your first few hours are smooth and easy, allowing you to get a solid grasp of the game fundamentals before you enter the more advanced stages of PvE and PvP.
Additionally, the character animations and overall visual presentation in Argo Online is far above the average of the Free to Play genre, and even better than a good portion of Pay to Play MMOs, too. The environments, cities, monsters, vehicles and characters all share their own unique style, collectively working together to create a rich, innovative world where technology meets nature on the battlefield, and anything is possible.
Argo Online is a Free to Play, 3D Fantasy MMORPG that stands out above the pack for multiple reasons, but none more than its innovative combat system that allows you to switch between the standard mouse-based MMORPG style to a action-themed 'aim and shoot' mechanic with the simple press of a button, instantly turning the often mind-numbing combat mechanics of most MMORPGs into something that truly shines.
